INDEPENDENT LIVING DAY (for Newtown Youth & Family Services) WAS A SUCCESS!
Thank you again to those of you who helped the elderly and disabled in need of help in Newtown for Independent Living Day, organized by Newtown Youth & Family Services, on whose Board of Directors Pastor Jim serves. We not only cleaned windows but touched lives in a special way. You were true "salt and light" for these dear neighbors (Matthew 5:13-16)! Here's one of many pictures that appeared in the Newtown Bee following that day featuring our own Tim O'Neil who was part of the crew:

...And a picture of the "cuter" helpers (no offense Tim!):

Skateboard Park Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
Pastor Jim was privileged to have the honor of asking God's blessings upon Newtown's very first Skateboard Park! Check out the article at http://newtown.patch.com/articles/supporters-celebrate-opening-of-skate-park, Lori Capozziello, very well-known to our church family, was a true leader in turning the vision for a skateboard park into a reality. New Hope Community Church was recognized as a source of support and encouragement to the skateboarders from the time the effort to get it going began!
